Deals are transactions which are typically considered to be bargains; in other words, they are advantageous to the consumer. Any sale or discount at a store or hotel or for an event can be a deal. Promotions for items cover the spectrum from beauty products, clothes, electronics, and food, to hotel and flight savings. Many sites scour promotional emails so you don’t have to, and post the best ones online.
For example in the world of travel, Gadling, the LA Times Travel Deals blog, and AirfareWatchdog are examples of sites that provide information on travel bargains.
Diehard bargain hunters often join forums where the popularity of a deal is voted up or down. Deal forums include FatWallet, and DealNews. Some sites allow consumers to strike their own deals by bidding on such items as consumer electronics or travel services.
