There are more than 150 breeds of dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club and the Canadian Kennel Club. The breed can determine the right fit of dog to your lifestyle and personality. The dog’s temperament is a component of the breed, as is size and energy level and need for attention or companionship.
Some dog breeds will require far more exercise than others. A small dog breed, like a Pug or Yorkshire terrier will get enough exercise walking, running and playing indoors. Other breeds need more exercise and fresh air to thrive. There are dog breeds that are less likely to trigger pet allergies. Pet allergies are usually caused by pet dander, the dead skin flakes that a pet sheds naturally. Some dog breeds like Poodle, Maltese, Bichon Frise, Bedlington terrier and Chinese Crested do not shed hair, so they shed far less dander.
Dogs are a very popular topic for bloggers, since there is never a shortage of new puppies and pictures available online.
