Evil is classified into two distinct categories, natural evil and moral evil. Natural evil refers to the evil that arises from natural disasters, whereas moral evil refers to the evil that arises from human agency.
The problem of evil refers to a theodicy argument, wherein the existence of evil complicates God’s existence as an all powerful, (omnipotent), all knowing, (omniscient) and all loving (omni-benevolent) being.
In contemporary discussions, evil presents a significant moral and political problem as attempts are made to address both domestic and international violence. Unfortunately, evil is an inescapable aspect of human existence, but diplomacy and peace are the best means of fighting evil.
