Exploitation refers to the deliberate and willful attempt to oppress and extort another human being or regulatory system by means of force, extortion, intellectual or financial oppression, or any other means of coercion through intimidation.
Exploitation is used as a tool for guaranteeing that one’s interests are safeguarded at all cost, which most notoriously include the enslavement of fellow human beings. Exploitation can also refer to the manipulation of legal “loopholes,” by those possessing inside knowledge of the proper workings of a regulatory system, which is then exploited for self interest.
In accounting for various forms of exploitation, the common notion of an inherent disadvantage holds true for all forms. Thus, one will hold others’ disadvantages against them for the purpose of self interest and selfishness.
