Genital herpes is a very infectious sexually transmitted disease caused by herpes simplex 2 virus, which is very similar to the strain of herpes virus known as herpes simplex 1 virus that causes cold sores. There is at present no cure. This disease can lie dormant in the system for years and you may be infected but be unaware of your infection so that the disease can be spread to your sexual partner. The virus is particularly prevalent amongst teens and young adults.
The first sign is usually a rash with painful and itchy blisters on the affected area of the body, which can be any part of the genital tract. The blisters can develop into ulcers. These herpes outbreaks usually last a few days and often occur during times of stress. When you suffer from genital herpes, you will learn to recognize the start of an outbreak by the warning tingling sensation in the affected area. Although genital herpes will have the same symptoms for each outbreak, the severity should lessen.
If a blogger has genital herpes, they are going to need to be informed and the first place they will go is the internet. Nathalie Foy is a British alternative treatment specialist and she runs a herpes blog to help bloggers control genital herpes.
