American pop star and style trendsetter Gwen Renée Stefani was born on October 3, 1969 in Fullerton, California. She gained notoriety as the lead vocalist for No Doubt, one of the most popular ska-pop bands to have emerged from the '90s with hit songs like: "Don't Speak," "Spiderwebs" and "Just A Girl."
After having released Tragic Kingdom (1995), Return of Saturn (2000) and Rock Steady (2001) as a member of No Doubt, Gwen Stefani went solo in 2004 with her debut album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The album earned six Grammy nominations and went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide. Gwen Stefani released the followup, The Sweet Escape, in 2006 and embarked on a substantial international tour that included Akon and Lady Sovereign as opening acts.
In 2004, Gwen Stefani made her acting debut in Martin Scorsese's biographical drama The Aviator.
Gwen Stefani married fellow musician Gavin Rosdale (guitarist and lead singer of the British post-grunge band Bush) on September 14, 2002. The couple have two sons together, Kingston and Zuma.
