Pop singer and actress Kylie Ann Minogue was born on May 28, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. The hit single "Loco-Motion" made Kylie Minogue an international success in 1987, and she came back strong in the new millennium with "Spinning Around" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head." She also made a name for herself as an actress on the Aussie soap Neighbours and in films like Street Fighter (1994) and Bio-Dome (1996). She remains one of Australia's greatest exports.
Kylie is the older sister of popular Australian singer and television personality Dannii Minogue.
Over the years, Kylie Minogue has gradually morphed from wholesome pop princess to sexy superstar. She has been romantically linked to the likes of Michael Hutchence (the late lead singer of INXS), French photographer Stephane Sednaoui, French actor Olivier Martinez and Spanish model Andrés Velencoso.
In 2001 she appeared in the popular Baz Luhrmann musical Moulin Rouge! alongside Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.
Kylie Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 which forced her to postpone her world tour. She underwent successful surgery and chemotherapy and has been in remission ever since.
