American country music and pop singer Margaret LeAnn Rimes was born on August 28, 1982 in Pearl, Mississippi. She started singing and tap dancing by the age of 2 and hasn't looked back since.
LeAnn Rimes was signed to Curb Records in 1995 and released her debut album Blue the following summer. The album was a huge success, selling more than eight million copies worldwide. LeAnn Rimes would go on to receive a slew of industry accolades, including two Grammy awards in 1997 for the album's title track. Her extensive discography includes: You Light up My Life: Inspirational Songs (1997), Sittin' on Top of the World (1998), LeAnn Rimes (1999), I Need You (2001), Twisted Angel (2002), This Woman (2005), Whatever We Wanna (2006) and Family (2007).
In 2000, LeAnn Rimes made a cameo appearance in the popular romantic comedy Coyote Ugly alongside Piper Perabo and Tyra Banks.
LeAnn Rimes married backup dancer Dean Sheremet in an extravagant ceremony on February 23, 2002 in Dallas, Texas - she was just 19 years-old at the time. Controversy struck in March of 2009 with allegations that LeAnn Rimes was having an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian.
