The Lexus ES was the first model produced by the Lexus line, five generations later it is still the highest selling Lexus sedan in the US. The ES was built on the Toyota Camry platform and was the only Lexus with front wheel drive until 1999. It was also sold as the Toyota Vista and Toyota Windom. The ES 350 began production in 2007 and is still in production. JD Powers and Associates ranked it as the most appealing entry level luxury model in 1997, 2001 and 2007.
Lexus is offering new navigation controls in the 2010 RX crossover that promise to be the most advanced human-computer interaction in car design to date. The Lexus Remote Touch mimics the computer mouse and has user adjustable haptic feedback.
