The Microsoft Network is the full name of a conglomerate of online services offered under the umbrella name of MSN.
The Microsoft Network did not come to fruition until 1995 when it was launched at the same time as Windows 95. Since then, MSN provides Internet users with a wide variety of options, presenting dozens of uses at any one time, including search, Internet access service, email, and an instant messenger that is currently compatible with one that is run by Yahoo!
As of 2008, MSN.com, the launch page for Microsoft's services, was one of the Top 10 sites in terms of traffic rank according to Alexa.
