Neil Young is one of a handful of rock and roll artists who can truly claim the title of legend. Beginning with his days with Buffalo Springfield, through his on and off again status as a member of Crosby Stills Nash & Young (CSNY), and over the course of a remarkable solo career that has endured for five decades, Neil Young's music continues to inspire both musicians and fans alike today.
As a songwriter, Neil Young is responsible for the folk-rock classics After The Gold Rush, Harvest, and Harvest Moon. As a guitarist, his feedback-laden rock guitar assaults with occasional backing band Crazy Horse on Rust Never Sleeps, Ragged Glory, and Arc-Weld have earned him the title of "godfather of grunge." As an iconoclastic artist, he has produced such experimental (and confounding) works as Trans and Tonight's the Night.
