A podcast is a radio-style audio program designed to be listened to either on the web or using an audio MP3 player like an iPod. Podcasts can be listened to live or as archived recordings. Networks of podcasts are available from services like Apple iTunes, AMP and BlogTalkRadio. Content can be almost anything, from music to news to dramatic performance.
A good example of a talk-oriented podcast is Dawn Olsen’s Glosslip gossip show sponsored by Blogcritics.
Podcasting is also closely related to video blogging or vlogging, which is much like a podcast, but includes video.
