Vanessa Anne Hudgens is an actress and recording artist born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California. Her film debut came in 2003 in the movie Thirteen followed that same year by the film Thunderbirds. She played Corrie on the Disney channel's hit children show The Suite Life of Zack And Cody. Her popularity skyrocketed in 2006 when she was cast as Gabrielle Montiz on the Disney Channel original movie High School Musical. Hudgens recorded her first album for Hollywood Records in 2006, self titled V. Her second album, Identified, was released July 1, 2008. She also has several lucrative spokesperson/modeling contracts.
Hudgens suffered some unwanted notoriety when nude pictures she had sent to a former boyfriend showed up on the internet in September of 2007. The incident did no obvious damage to her career.
She was Teen Choice Music Breakout Artist-Female, in 2007 for he ralbum V. At the 2008 Teen Choice Awards she was Hottie-Female of the year.
