Washington Republicans: Looks like MSNBC correspondent David Shuster may have deprived loyal MSNBC viewers of their favorite GOP talking heads — at least for now. This week, the MSNBC reporter “sandbagged” Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) during an interview by asking

Are Republicans boycotting MSNBC?
297 days ago in The Carpetbagger Report - Commentary and Analysis on Politics in America by Steve Benen by Carpetbagger · Authority: 2,238the soldier he cited wasn’t from Blackburn’s district. It turns out Shuster was right and his critics were wrong, but the network aired a correction anyway. Not satisfied, the GOP establishment has decided to take things up a notch, punishing MSNBC for putting Shuster on the air. [I]rked Republican Hillers are now planning a boycott of Shuster’s employer. “We don’t mind skipping MSNBC. No one watches that channel anyway,

the Rethuglicans are a little more thin skinned than the Democrats. After David Shuster asked Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) a perfectly legitimate question which she couldn't answer (and it really does not matter if Shuster had the wrong answer) they are going to boycott MSNBC. When one thinks about FOX and the Democrats their reasons become even more absurd. “There’s no difference [between] sending your boss over to David Shuster or the Democratic National Committee at this point,” sniffs one high-placed House source.

MSNBC: The Luckiest Network On Television
Shuster was right in the first place. But being right was never a major article of concern for the right and they are still hammering Shuster. Even Brit Hume at Fox News participated in the pile on. Now, according to Politico, Republicans are escalating the battle to new heights: âWe donât mind skipping MSNBC. No one watches that channel anyway,â says a high-placed Republican consultant. Word is, a growing number of GOP lawmakers have become mysteriously

war. This isn't "gotcha" journalism. It's proof of the marketing plan of Republicans who will use soldiers, without knowing who any of them are. Dan Abrams should stand by his people, especially when they're right. CONTACT DAN ABRAMS UPDATE II: Republicans are running scared of Shuster. Evidently caring enough about soldiers to know who's dying in your district is scaring the hell out of the chickenhawks. Beautiful. UPDATE: The Defense Dept. link showing Shuster was indeed correct. Thanks for the heads up reader OtherEd.
