So grab yours now — in red, white and/or blue — and get it in time for your next (and perhaps first) trip to Nationals Park, which hosts 13 games over the next three weeks. Be the envy of your section for the cost of two beers! * Use coupon code “spreadshirt227″ for $5 off the asking price of $20.

Baseball’s Sky High Prices: What Happened?
tickets, concessions, and souvenirs, will cost a family of four over 500 dollars. It may be time to change the “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” tune from “I don’t care if I ever come back” to “I can’t afford to ever come back.” Sources http://blog.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2008/03/nats_park_beer_options.html http://www.nationalspride.com/ballpark/menu.cfm http://www.jdland.com/dc/stadium.cfm http://www.stubhub.com http://www.mlb.com

blaze did about $10,000 worth of damage, but nobody was hurt. [Baltimore Sun] >> The Fonz was in attendance for the best weekend in D.C. sports history. [D.C. Sports Bog] >> Everything you ever wanted to know about the new Nats stadium: what kind of beer do they serve? How long are the food lines? Who'll be the first impossible to please voice out there to slam it? Who's still thinking about how expensive it was? What does it feel like? Before, after game options
little insight into the potential options around Nationals Park. With the big adventure today and tomorrow, I'm not expecting to spend a lot of time around the park, but I see a long season ahead. And with beer more expensive than RFK, this won't be the bargain it was the previous three years. I'm totally excited about the new park. I'm just a touch nostalgic already... parking and it being affordable were two big draws at RFK, and my wife already commented on her annoyance at the

New Logo, Philly Phriends, Beer, etc
Stadium Beer I felt it was worth mentioning, despite my aversion to regurgitating other people’s stories, that the Nats WILL indeed be serving beer at their ballpark. Actually, the DC Sports Bog has a list of what the options are going to be, and I think its important for everyone to know. Some thoughts: If they are looking for a good local brew, Dogfish Head Ale has some great stuff I am looking forward to trying the locally brewed Hook and Ladder, as well as Leinenkugel Home Run Ale (if

Friday's Frosty Mug
best offensive shortstop in baseball. If I'm his manager and he wants to try it, I'll stand out there and hit him ground balls all night. Following up on yesterday's note about the Nationals new stadium revenue: Capitol Punishment has a link to the beer and food menus at the new ballpark. Two quick notes: 1. There's not really any pricing here that I'd define as completely out of line, but it is an opportunity to point out one thing: Pricing something like bottled water at $4 for a 3-hour, outdoor,

Enquirer Exclusive! Nats will play at RFK in 2008!
At least now it'll be clear who's getting booed. The Dan Steinberg DC Sportsbog Machine was all over the Nats yesterday, first dredging up the old Odalis Perez/Paul The Pusher feud (how is this only seeing the light of day now!?), then reporting on beer prices (high) and selection (ok if you don't buy Local), and finally, walking among the media horde at the Nats Park Free Food Tour.
