    I hate John McCain

33 days ago in Fair plus Balanced · Authority: 1

done was put his wife in her place. Otherwise, he flip-flops more than a trout out of water raging on methamphetamine. First he’s against drilling for oil, now he’s for it. First he’s against the gooks, now he’s for them. First he hates Bush, now he loves him. First he hates people like me, then he loves us, then he hates us again. On and on... Pick an issue and this guy has been on three sides of it. I can’t stand this weasel. He will say anything for political expedience.

vote of moderate democrats and centrists who have turned against the war in the past few years. He’ll be facing criticism from the other side as well, since McCain’s credentials as a “true conservative” have often come into doubt. Actions like not voting for President Bush in 2000 and being considered as a running mate for John Kerry in 2004, mean that Senator McCain will work hard to earn support from the conservative base. Although he’ll probably have the backing of a unified party by November, Barack Obama will face equal

    McCain Didn’t Vote for Bush

apparently did not vote for President Bush in the 2000 general election.  The story was first broke on Arianna Huffington’s blog on Monday, and the account has now been confirmed by Bradley Whitford and Richard Schiff, who were both at the dinner: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/05/09/west_wing_actors_confirm_accou.html Of course, Senator McCain denies the story, and he has spent the better part of the past 8 years denying there was a rift or real animosity between him and President Bush.  That’s to be expected, as he would

As did McCain himself saying "I voted, campaigned for, worked as hard as I could for President Bush's election in 2000 and 2004... It's nonsense." But WaPo found two former members of the Bartlet Administration who confirm Huffington's account. I leave it to you (in the comments) to decide whether McCain's presidential vote in 2000 matters. But it's interesting that the controversy (what little there is) has focused on the splashy claim Huffington used to draw attention to her piece (the

Bradley Whitford and Richard Schiff who attended a dinner with Sen. John McCain in 2001 McCain replied that as a member of the GOP, Whitford added, he always intended to back the party's nominee. Then, the actor said, someone asked McCain whether he had cast a vote in favor of Bush. "He put his finger up to his lips, shook his head and

    McCain Mutinies

Before he is anointed by the Republican convention this summer, John McCain's legendary temper will be tested by a swarm of stings from both Left and Right. Not only do Arianna Huffington and a pair of "West Wing" actors claim he told them he didn't vote for Bush in 2000 and Senate Democrats insist he considered
