When upgrading your blogging software doesn’t quite go to plan…
http://byzas.net/luxury_star/?p=12’m sure there are many other Wordpress bloggers that are not happy with it (in fact, I’ve read many of disgruntled comments already) but don’t despair… there is a solution. Thank goodness for Judy Brenner who has devised a hack that enables categories to be displayed to the right of the post area (where they should be!) rather than beneath. This might not sound like a big issue but when you have as many categories as this blog has, and you

Socks as always...
http://quiltingandknitting.blogspot.com/2008/04/socks-as-alw...I started my first toe up sock - Hearts for Heidi by Wendy Knits. I was a bit nervous about the cast-on as it looked a bit complicated - but it was really very easy if you follow the online tutorial for Judy's Magic Cast-On. I wanted to do a toe up for this yarn because it's Claudia's HandPainted Short Sport in Peppermint Mocha (Pattern & Yarn from the Loopy Ewe) and I want to make the leg as high as I can with the yardage I have. Now we'll see how the rest goes and

http://blog.talesofkingtut.com/2008/04/26/wordpress-251-upda...>WordPress 2.5.1! and I made some changes to my editing/writing panel. will they work in the new update? Can I find them again? I didn’t post about them right away. Okay, found it. Here’s the –>WordPress 2.5 hack to fix the write panel. special thanks to Judy at PersistantIllusion.com, she surely ‘knitted together’ a great hack for the administration. I’m using a new browser that is lots easier to use: Camino. Only for Macs though.

The Harlot was here!
http://tiggywinkleknits.blogspot.com/2008/04/harlot-was-here...Roxie down there on the right, wearing her "Lizard Queen" hat. It's got everything: pink, sparkly, flowers, lace, beads, and dangles. What else could you possibly add? I was surprised to see Judy there; especially since she was supposed to be in a conference back east. And look! She even brought her socks-in-progress! Man, the crowd was huge! And loud! Just listen: Then, we started to look around at some of the other fantastic

Are we recovered yet?
http://knitforjoy.blogspot.com/2008/04/are-we-recovered-yet....not to post signs in the building. I think the person must have assumed we were going to put it on the wall or something, which we weren't. Anyway, I ended up propping it against the wall (we didn't put it up, we just stored it out of the way) so that Judy could "see" when Stephanie started talking. (Backstory: Judy had to be in Washington, D.C. on a business trip, so we brought "virtual Judy" with us to the event.) In the course of the next hour and a half, Miller Hall filled with knitters and friends
