blogglue helps build traffic to your blogBlogGlue is a new plugin designed to syndicate your blog posts and optimize on-page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to bring more traffic to your website. And more traffic will help you achieve your blog objectives — making money, gaining influence, or generating traffic for your e-commerce site.

What Does BlogGlue Do?

According to their website:

"BlogGlue is a related posts widget that connects blogs across the web. Millions of blogs share ideas, represent companies, and provide real time news updates. Finding and engaging new audiences and loyal readers is a tedious time consuming challenge. BlogGlue exists to make it simpler for bloggers to find new audiences by allowing them to connect with other like minded blogs."

BlogGlue harnesses the power of both social networking and SEO.

Social Media Optimization

Bringing traffic to your blog through online social networking is the primary function of BlogGlue.  BlogGlue does this by relying on communities of bloggers who link to promote each other's posts.

Here's how it works.

  1. You sign up for BlogGlue and upload the plugin to your WordPress blog (it also works on Joomla, Drupl, and several other platforms).
  2. Visit the BlogGlue site and customize the settings by selecting up to 5 content areas related to your blog (the paid version offers greater capacity).
  3. Link your social networks to BlogGlue (Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIN).  This is optional, but when linked, BlogGlue automatically posts to your social networks.  (I don't like automatic posts, so I've not implemented this aspect).
  4. Link with other bloggers in the community.  This reflects agreement to promote each other's blog posts.
  5. When you write a post, BlogGlue uses an algorithm that not only checks for related posts on your site, but on sites you've linked to.
  6. Related posts are displayed at the bottom of posts.
