Caramel Frap, Please! Starbucks Lets You Tweet a Coffee to Your Buds
There are so many ways to appreciate those who consistently share interesting items on Twitter. Sure, retweets are great, and handing out those one-click "favorite" gold stars to someone who said something pithy is a nice pat on the virtual back.
But what about something you can hold in your hands, as a reward for those you love to follow, share (and reshare)?
According to Technorati listed top blog Huffington Post, Starbucks is there, to the rescue, fellow tweet-appreciaters!
The coffee giant has introduced Tweet-a-Coffee — a program allowing Twitter users to send their followers and friends a $5 Starbucks eGift using the micro-blogging network. As Starbucks puts it, "It's an easy and fun way to say 'you're awesome...this Starbucks is on me.'", according to a recent email.
It's also a great way to provide something tangible to those "Follow Friday" favorites of yours. Simply follow the details on the Starbucks site to link your coffee account with Twitter and choose the Tweet-a-Coffee service.
You might want to be quick about sharing that cup of Java with someone you find special on Twitter. If you're one of the first 100,000 to buy a Tweet-a-Coffee using a Visa card, Starbucks will give you a $5 eGift card as well.
The buy-one-get-one free ecard offer ends 11/6, so reward your favorite tech writer soon (hint). ;o) Here are more details...
