Debating Online Just Got Smarter

Sometimes when you’re reading an article online, the most fascinating thing about it is seeing all of the different personalities beneath it debate over their points of view. They bicker amongst each other and take pot shots at the writer – it’s all so damn amusing.
The only thing about it is you end up seeing all of the ignorance and ugliness that exists in our world. What could have been an intellectual debate turns into a series of personal attacks being exchanged just because of a difference in opinion.
Just the same, we like it – we’re as drawn to conflict and argument as a moth is to light.
More than 67 million people just recently watched one of history’s greatest presidential debates – we’re in the mood to argue.
In fact, that’s just what people are doing everywhere… They’re debating.
There’s a new social networking platform called Deeyoon. It allows people to have civilized real-time video debates with one another.
The innovative platform has hosted several debates amongst celebrities. Omar Epps participated in a debate on which film was better – The Godfather or Scarface?
The site has also featured debates at length concerning Ted Haggard’s stance against gay marriage along with a variety of other debates.
The founder of Deeyoon, Joe Kalfa, is no stranger to creating successful business endeavors. At the age of 18, he founded and built a healthcare business that is currently generating over $100 million in revenue annually. Joe started in humble beginnings – having grown up in a low-income area of Toronto, Canada, he sold knives door-to-door before succeeding to make over $30 million a year in revenues by age 21.
Bryan: Your story is amazing, just like your latest innovation. Tell me a little bit about the genesis of Deeyoon and the motivation behind it.
