Free Social Business Cards! Moo Teams With Facebook, Giving Away 200,000 Packs
I heard about Moo Cards late last year, when I received a Klout Perk for a free pack of 100 mini business cards, based on my social “score”. I fell in love with them immediately - they’re half the size of a regular business card, and their online system allows you to upload any image you want for the front, and provide whatever social contact information you want on the back.
I uploaded and cropped part of a familiar online image of myself, and provided my name and Google Profile link on the back, using their simple interface. I was excited when they arrived, taking them with me to last year’s LA-based BlogWorld event.
It appears the UK-based social card creator is about to be handed into the big leagues, penning a deal with Facebook to become their official social card creator. You can now transfer profile information and Cover photos from your Facebook Timeline, and send it off to Moo for your own personal social calling card of sorts, to hand out to friends and family as you please.
Each pack of Facebook Social Cards from Moo will include a variety of Cover photos from Facebook, along with your name, company or college, your city and state, phone number and email address, if viewable on your profile. Moo says they will “mirror the fonts, layout and iconography” of your Timeline.
Want to see how your Facebook Social Card will look like now? If you’ve got the Timeline feature activated and populated with information, simply visit http://www.facebook.com/yourfacebookusername/info (make sure to replace yourfacebookusername with your actual Facebook username) and hover your mouse over the Business Card icon next to the words Contact Info (see below). It’s as simple as that.Continued on the next page
