When you’re out socializing at that lounge, there’s always going to be that time when you meet that one gal or guy that is truly a stand out. You’ll have sat down all night, had drinks, maybe some hot wings (or not unless you have mints handy). After all of that, no phone numbers have been exchanged… Just a simple line that everyone says these days…

“Facebook me.”

It seems easier to get in touch with people via Facebook than by phone, text or even e-mail.

Friendthem is an application that utilizes the Facebook friend request in a way that is even better than Facebook does by using location-based application technology.

Meeting people and connecting face-to-face does not have to be a thing of the past. The Friendthem app allows people to connect with each other face-to-face giving those who need that tactile contact while utilizing the power of social media technology to stay in touch when you’ve forgotten to get those digits.

The CEO and co-founder of Friendthem, Charles Sankowich, discusses how Friendthem provides people connecting to people the best of both worlds and still equally manages its responsibilities to security and fun.

The reality of the situation is that the popularity of Facebook as a social media site itself has started to wean. Friendthem has taken the simplicity of the friend request and fine tuned its purposes and capability.

“We feel that the simple and most important part to Facebook is the friend request. Everything originates from a friend request. Why doesn’t someone make it more seamless? Charles elaborated on the importance of this Facebook feature.

It is the truth; nothing on Facebook would work without the friend request. Charles elaborates on the inspiration to create Friendthem.

“About 16 months ago, I was at Dos Caminos on Park Avenue South, me and my buddy… The place is empty; we’re hanging out and we’re talking to the bartender Gina. I said, Gina, I’m going to Facebook to you. What’s your last name? She gave it to me; I looked it up only to see that were over a hundred of them. No! There has got to be a better way to do this. This must happen all the time. There is no reason for people to miss out on a connection like this.”
