If you have not heard the name Jessica Gottlieb in the past few years, you have been living under a rock - or simply not online.  Jessica Gottlieb, aka Motrin Mom, has rattled the industry by commenting on how marketing campaigns and blogger outreach have been handled by Motrin, Nestle and most recently, The Corn Refiners Association.

In addition to her own site, JessicaGottlieb.com, she is a Momversation panelist. Jessica has been featured on Dr. Phil a number of times, is often quoted in national parenting magazines and on NPR, and has been dubbed a “Power Mom” by Nielsen Online two years in a row.

Yes, Jessica is controversial and not afraid to speak her mind.  She has rocked the blogosphere by publicizing poorly executed media campaigns and forcing brands to pause, before entering the world of social media.

Here is what we covered for the 2010 State of The Blogoshpere:

  • Experiences with Motrin, Nestles, Corn Refiners Association.
  • Wanting to effect positive change when it comes to brands which are targeting women.
  • Concern: women bloggers are willing to give their voice and value away for free.
  • Working with brands that INSPIRE.....
  • Use of mobile devices and social media tools to reach audience.
  • Providing valuable content is key.
  • Networking with other bloggers to extend reach.
  • How to handle negative backlash from naysayers.
  • Monetizing content:  bloggers should not have expectation of making money when it comes to blogging.  However, bloggers should leverage blogging for OTHER opportunities.
