The year 2011 will prove to be a legendary year in the history of the world wide web. Twenty years from now, people will reflect on 2011 as a year that started a changing revolution of the world wide web.

As we all know that the future of the earth is HTML5 and CSS3. With its new and innovative features developers and webmasters are taking things to the next level.

Twitter and YouTube first took the leap of faith into HTML5, a world of unknown, a world of uncertainty. But the results are pretty successful till date. Both the new looks of twitter and YouTube are much acknowledged by its users.

Several websites that caught my attention are as follows. First, Sports Illustrated Snapshots, a website that uploads spots pictures of superb clarity with regular updates and a feature for users to vote the best picture of the day. Everyday, 10 sports snapshots are taken and uploaded to their website, which then can be seen by users and also shared by them in social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Second, the Amazon window shopping website built with the resources of the latest HTML5 users can now browse tons and tons of stuff online in a much more easy and user friendly environment. Shopping experience is truly refined with the new Amazon concept.

Third, the HTML5 canvas, and as the name suggest this popular feature for developers had been a canvas in itself. Developers used the canvas software to create mostly interactive point scoring jumping and pinball games. These games are so smooth with the rich yet simple black and white content that sometimes it is hard to believe that we are actually using the internet.

HTML5 is gaining a massive momentum and now it comes finally down to companies like Microsoft , Google, Opera and Firefox to provide the perfect browser to its users. To date, Chrome is the fastest web browser but when it comes to rich and use of graphics API, Internet Explorer takes the easy lead. Safari is not far behind as they also support most of the features in HTML5. But in my personal opinion use Chrome because its fast easy and simple.
