Nirvana logoMany of us living in our social media virtual universes feel that we are experts at mental notes. We think we can remember all the online, offline, Facebook and real world tasks that need to get done. Yet, we always tend to forget so many of these tasks, especially the important ones! Enter Nirvana, an online GTD (Getting Things Done) web app. Nirvana describes itself as software for GTD, web 2.0 style.

Full of AJAX goodness, creating tasks and to-do items are straightforward. Click on 'New Task' and fill in the details including tags for future reference. Tags are then listed in the menu bar for quick access to your preferred tasks. Your inbox is where you can create any or all of your to-do items. Nirvana also provides different categories to help you focus on your tasks. Priority items should be created in the 'Today' category. Less important items can be created in the 'Next' category. For those tasks that are not important, but you hope to accomplish at a later time, the 'Someday' category is a good place to store your dreams of world peace, the ultimate mobile gadget or building the stairway to heaven.

Thinking beyond the usual to-do list, the GTD experts at Nirvana realized that there may be more than one task to complete your project. Thus, a 'Projects' category allows you to group tasks together, giving you a comprehensive view of your lists of tasks.

Need your lists when you are offline? Nirvana allows you to print your tasks (or you can save the file as a .pdf document, depending on your OS or printer capabilities). Additionally, you can send your task list to your email address (by clicking on 'Export').

Currently, Nirvana is in closed beta mode. However, you can request for an invite on their site.
