PageLines Offers Platform Pro, a Drag and Drop Framework for WordPress

There is not a lack of WordPress themes available in all price ranges.
So, why all the excitement about the new PageLines theme framework, Platform Pro? Simple, it is easy to use. A few weeks ago, I met the PageLines founder, Andrew Powers at BlogWorld Expo. He showed me a demo of the new Platform Pro and I was impressed. I purchased Platform Pro to see if it really is that easy.
Platform is installed the same as all other themes and I had no problems activating it. I was immediately pleased with the step by step instructions to get you started and links to more support and documentation.
As a self taught WordPress user, I have been looking for a theme where I can easily adjust the sidebars, headers, footers and complete layout without having to know any coding. I was able to recreate my current layout in about 20 minutes using Platform Pro (and that was without reading the instructions). Here are some of the features that impressed me:
- Drag and drop to add new features to your header, footer, etc.
- You can design the layouts on a per page basis.
- Choose between magazine or blog layouts styles.
- Easily control the width of your content and sidebar areas.
- Integrates BuddyPress and bbPress to build your community.

After spending an evening with Platform Pro, I agree that this is a framework for WordPress which you can easily drag and drop to create a custom website or blog in no time. There are several version available. To test it out, there is a free version available for download. A single user license is $95 and a developer license is $179.
