'Tis the Season... for Writing

It's that time of the year. The leaves are changing, the weather is getting cooler. I pulled out my winter clothes yesterday. I'm wearing hats again.

I'm also writing more.

I'm not sure what it is, but something about this weather makes me more motivated to write. It's not that I spend more time inside, or that I stop biking--I bike rain or shine, cold or hot. But for some reason as soon as those leaves start changing, I sit down to write and my thoughts just flow out. Neatly. Organized. Pleasant to read (or so I hope).

Yesterday I wrote a lot. Some for school, some for work. Some here on Technorati, some on my personal blog. Some public, some private. All over the place. The thoughts just pouring out on the page. And it's relaxing.

There's something about writing a lot that just makes me feel good, ya know? It takes a huge weight off my mind, let's me think a little more clearly. It gets all the stress and cluttered thoughts out and organized, providing a little much-needed peace.

What motivates you to write? Do you write more during a particular part of the year? How do you relax?
