Twitter to Overhaul Mobile.Twitter.com
Twitter however seem to have no such problems. It emerged last month that mobile revenues at the site are doing very well, but that isn't causing the company to rest on their laurels. It emerged today that they are to overhaul their mobile Twitter service.
The aim of the revamp was to ensure the mobile version of Twitter was both faster to use and more representative of the full version of the site. The full version of Twitter was re-designed back in December, so the overhaul of the mobile version is overdue.
The new version however is much cleaner and similar to both the browser and app interfaces. This will allow the company to deliver the finest version of the product across all platforms, including of course their advertising.
The result of this 9 week project brings the number of supported mobile browsers to 13, across thousands of different devices.
The redesign was based upon user testing to see how people were using the mobile site. This included analyzing how often they tweeted to how often they loaded more tweets.
