2012 Brazilian Grand Prix: Button First, Vettel Becomes Three Time World Champion

São Paulo, Brazil; 25th November 2012:

With rain pouring in and creating slippery conditions the final race of the 2012 Grand Prix turned out to be a complete chaos, but still a treat for Millions of F1 fans.

Although finishing 6th the 25-year-old Red Bull Racing driver-Sebastian Vettel turned out to be the hero of the race winning the World Championship title for third consecutive time and only third driver to complete this achievement. Vettel also became the youngest driver to achieve this spot.

Jenson Button(McLaren-Mercedes) finished first while the Vettel's challenger for the World Title, Fernando Alonso(Ferrari) finished second while his team partner and local boy Felipe Massa finished third on the podium.

The Brazilian Grand Prix also witnessed Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher's final lap in F1 racing. Schumacher who started the race at 14th position finished the race at 7th position behind Vettel.

Lewis Hamilton(McLaren-Mercedes) who was leading the race along with his team partner Button felt victim of Collision with Force India-Mercedes driver Nico Hülkenberg in the 54th lap. Hülkenberg crashed into the front suspension of Hamilton's car causing Hamilton to retire of the race. Hülkenberg received a drive through penalty for the collision with Hamilton's McLaren.

In the 70th lap the safety car came out for the second time in the race following Paul di Resta's(Force India-Mercedes) crash. And the F1 racers crossed the finishing line behind the safety car.

As soon as Vettel crossed the finishing line a wave of celebration emerged in the Red Bull camp. Vettel celebrated his world champion win with the spectators.

At the presentation ceremony Ferrari driver and the local boy of the race, Felipe Massa became emotional. He secured a place on the podium for first time since 2010 Korean Grand Prix.
