The boxing world and the majority of the boxing fans were shocked in disbelief as news of Timothy Bradley winning against boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao for their title fight was announced at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas last night.

A Split Decision verdict was awarded to Bradley with score cards 115-113 in his favor twice from boxing judges C.J. Ross and Duane Ford, while the third judge Jerry Roth gave Pacquiao a score of 115-113.

However, news of Bradley winning the fight last night was greeted by a huge number of boxing fans and many boxing analysts with a lot of skepticism and doubt as it was a very controversial win handed to Bradley by the aforementioned judges.

After the controversial decision by the judges Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddy Roach had an easy explanation for his fighter's split decision loss to Tomothy Bradley when he said: " I think they had their eyes closed. What everyone else saw and what they saw are two different things". Even some hollywood celebrities were dismayed by the result as reflected by their tweets on Twitter.

In addition, Top Rank CEO and president Bob Arum, who promotes both fighters, blasted the judges decision himself, which he called "outrageous".

With the loss, Pacquiao fell to 54-4-2 with 38 wins inside the distance, while Bradley improved to 29-0 with 12 wins inside the distance.

Before the fight last night, Pacquiao last fought against the Mexican puncher Juan Manuel Marquez with a win while Bradley's last bout was an 8-round TKO of former world champion Joel Casamayor in November of last year.

Bradley, 28, is unbeaten in his 28 fights but he has never fought anyone of Pacquiao's stature. He came from lumberjack yards, fighting in little ballrooms, and once waited tables to support himself as he tried to establish his boxing career.
