Daily Five: Is Dwyane Wade Unhappy in Miami?
Each day, we'll take a quick look at five of the most important stories going on in the NBA.
Miami Herald: "Dwyane Wade says something resembling a disapproving comment about his coach and there's chatter that Erik Spoelstra won't last past this season, especially if Pat Riley lands another superstar in free agency?"
Dime: "If the Knicks could somehow trick one of these teams (most likely the Wizards) to take on the contracts of either Eddy Curry or Jared Jeffries (which is unlikely) then they would pull the trigger in a heartbeat. They also have Cuttino Mobley’s expiring $9.5 million contract to include as well."
Blog-a-Bull: "I keep hearing Joe Johnson is the #4 option if we strike out on LeBron/Wade/Bosh. His resume fits that ranking: 4-straight all-star appearances, 22ppg scorer, good 3pt shot, good passer, plays 40mpg with almost no injury history, and he's the offensive star of a Hawks team headed toward 55 wins."
NBA.com: "Carl Braun, who played in five consecutive All-Star games as a member of the New York Knicks, died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 82. Braun died in Florida, the team said. He is the second former Knicks star to die in a week. Hall of Famer Dick McGuire passed away last Wednesday."
Full-Court Press: "Now Brown is lucky to see the court at all. He's racked up 13 DNP - Coach's Decisions over the past 20 games, and the most of his minutes these days are coming in garbage time. When asked why Brown wasn't seeing any playing time, Kuester surprisingly cited Brown's inconsistent defense."
