England manager Fabio Capello's World Cup build-up has suffered yet another blow. It was revealed that conversations between Capello and the players were secretly recorded ahead of their friendly match against Egypt last week. The recording which is said to be several hours long was offered to several media outlets.

The FA have launched an investigation as to how the security was breached and a bug planted in the meeting room at the English team's hotel in Hertfordshire. A spokesperson of The Grove Hotel said,"We do not know anything about it. We have been hosting England for three or four years and provide a very high level of security for them. They also bring their own security team. It would surprise me if they had been bugged here.”

The FA's lawyers have contacted media organizations warning that publication of the contents of the recording would be illegal and a breach of the Data Protection Act and Press Complaints Commission rules. None of the newspapers who were offered the recording chose to publish it, however the FA are clueless as to who is currently in possession of the recording.
It is being speculated that whoever was responsible for this bugging incident was more interested in further revelations about the players private lives and the mood within the camp in view of the revelations about John Terry's private life, rather than Fabio Capello's tactical secrets.
Fabio Capello, who is very concerned about the breach of security, was reassured by the FA about the tight security around the England team at their Rustenburg training camp at this year's World Cup.

Capello who took up the England manager job in 2008 must be starting to wonder just when he signed up to be a part of major espionage-love triangle production?
