4. A "Special" Putter: A good putter can change your entire season. I switched to Axis1 Umbra halfway through my season and shaved off two putts per round. Putters like the Umbra, Scotty Cameron and Bettinardi make for great golf gifts. Like the driver, consult with your golfer to see if he has a preference. A standard putter will run between $100-$200 but these will be closer to the $300 price range.

5. New Irons: I wanted to write "Gift Card" here because who wouldn't want a gift card worth over $200 to their favorite golf shop. Unless your golfer told you exactly what irons to buy, where to buy them and what they cost, don't buy them irons as a gift (starter set is an exception). I would recommend a gift card and so they can pick it out themselves or print a picture of irons and say they will be a gift when the golfer is ready to pick them out!

When it comes to shopping for a golfer there are many options ar many prices. As a golfer, I use everything I mention in our Holiday Gift Guide specials. Talk to your golfer or his regular golf buddies to see if there is something specific he or she wants. Remember it's the thought that counts and any golf gift is a good golf gift...just make sure you ask for a gift receipt!
