Jeremy Lin Goes From Rags to Riches in 8 Short Days

I am a huge NBA fan and I have to be honest and let you know that about 8 days ago I had never even heard of Jeremy Lin. Now, in a week's time, this kid has become a household name in the NBA world.
In the midst of all this Jeremy Lin hoopla, let's take a look at how this all started. Well, believe it or not he was not drafted by a single NBA team. Instead, Jeremy Lin was playing ball in the summer league for the Dallas Mavericks after his college career at Harvard.
The young Asian-American was lighting it up in the summer league back then and he eventually caught the eye of the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors signed the youngster to a multi-year deal in July 2010. To make a long story short, Jeremy Lin ended up going to Houston and eventually ended up in New York with the Knicks. And that is where it all began...just about 8 short days ago.
This insanity, or "LinSanity" as some people are calling it, began on February 4, 2012 when the New York Knicks faced off against their Hudson River Rival New Jersey Nets. Knicks' coach Mike D'Antoni' brought Jeremy Lin in off the bench to go head-to-head with the Nets talented, proven point guard Deron Williams. And Lin didn't disappoint as he played a total of 36 minutes and scored 25 points with 7 assists and help lead the Knicks to a 99-92 victory over New Jersey.
The next step in Jeremy Lin's "rags to riches" story was on February 6, 2012 when the Knicks faced the Utah Jazz. This time Mike D'Antoni' put Jeremy Lin in as the starting point guard. Good call because Lin rewarded his coach with a great game. Jeremy Lin scored 28 points with 8 assists as the Knicks beat the Jazz 99-88. At about this time, the buzz was starting to hit the Knicks' fans...BIG TIME!!
Now the Knicks headed out on the road to play the lowly Washington Wizards in our nation's capital. Could the kid keep it up? You bet he could! Jeremy Lin scored 23 points and dished out 10 assists as the Knicks knocked off the Wizards by the score of 107-93. The snowball was building and now not only were the New York Knicks' fans taking notice, but the whole NBA nation was intrigued by this "cinderella" type story.
