John Hathaway Welterweight fighter John Hathaway has suffered an injury and will no longer be able to compete against Matt Brown at UFC 138. Rather then looking for a replacement to face Matt Brown the UFC have just decided to give him a fight replacement against Seth Baczynski at UFC 139.

The bout between Brown and Hathaway had looked to be a great fight for the night on paper. A year ago John Hathaway suffered his first professional loss against Mike Pyle at UFC 120. Before that loss John had built up an amazing fourteen fight winning streak. Most recently Hathaway bounced back from that defeat with a victory against Kris McCray in March of this year at a UFC Fight Night event. Hopefully John's injury is not too serious so we can see him back in action as soon as possible.

Matt Brown's last fight in the UFC was against John "Doomsday" Howard at a UFC on Versus 4 held in June of this year. The winner of this fight would earn the right to remain part of the UFC, so these guy's were basically fighting for their jobs. Luckily in a close fight Brown came out with the win via unanimous decision and kept his spot in the worlds no.1 MMA organization.

Despite loosing this fight the UFC 138 card will still showcase some great matches. The event will take place on November 5th 2011 at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England. The main event will see Chris Leben take on Mark Munoz in a fight which could really shake up the middleweight division so tune in if you can.
