AVONDALE, Ariz — Kasey Kahne made a pit stop under green on lap 288 (of 312) for fuel and right side tires. Chase contenders Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart pitted on laps 292 and 294, respectively. Kahne took the lead on lap 299 and never looked back.

It was the first victory for Kahne, who will finish his season with Red Bull Racing at Homestead before making the move to Rick Hendricks for his 2012 Sprint Cup campaign. It was the 12th win of his career.

But the day belonged to Edwards and Stewart who battled like gladiators from lap one. Edwards took 2nd and Stewart followed in for 3rd. He also earned the one point bonus for leading the most laps which means the drivers head to Miami with the same three point differential between them.

Advantage? Who knows!

Jeff Burton was 4th and Ryan Newman rounds out the top 5. A.J. Allmendinger took 6th, David Reutimann 7th, Marcos Ambrose 8th, followed by Paul Menard in 9th and Clint Bowyer took the ten spot.

Sprint Cup Standings

The season finale is next week at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Ford 400. Green flag at 3:00 pm EST. TV-ESPN.
