Trade Rumors

Now that the Bosh-for-Bynum rumors have quelled (and Bynum has had as much to with that with his performance of late as anything), the Lakers have looked to upgrade a needed position.

The Lakers have inquired as to the availability of the Chicago Bulls' Kirk Hinrich. While Derek Fisher is a more than capable point guard for now, he is 36 years old (even though standing next to him you'd swear he was 29), and the Lakers seemingly resigned to the fact that Jordan Farmar will never be a great starter, they have offered a package of Adam Morrison and Sasha Vujacic for Hinrich.

This would solve the Laker point guard issues for the forseeable future as Hinrich could be a very nice fit in purple and gold and ultimately Fisher's successor.
