Notre Dame Quarterback Jimmy Clausen Gets Into Bar Fight
Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis is possibly getting fired, the team may end its season playing in a bowl game in Detroit and now, star quarterback Jimmy Clausen has two black eyes resulting from an alleged fight with an angry fan at a bar Sunday morning.
If the Fighting Irish had a better team, Clausen, statistically one of the best quarterbacks in college football this season, would arguably be a favorite for the Heisman Trophy. Instead, he's battling with drunk fans after the latest in a string of disappointing losses. ESPN reported that the attacker who punched Clausen was an "angry fan."
The university has yet to release a statement on the incident. Clausen is expected to play against Stanford Saturday.
