Racing Superstar Launches iTunes App for Japan Relief
Racing car driver Kamui Kobayashi has funded the development of an app available on iTunes to help the good people of Japan.
Unless you live under a rock, there have been a couple serious disasters to hit the island nation recently (earthquakes and tsunami) and they are starting a very long process of re-building. This will cost a great deal of money, time and effort.
All proceeds from the sale of the app will be donated to the Red Cross in Japan.
Kobayashi had this to say: "Although the disaster attracted huge international attention in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami, other news has dominated the headlines since then. However, the destruction in the country is so serious that it will take many years to recover from the losses and damage. So the people in Japan need long-term support. I'd like to thank all my colleagues in Formula One for their contributions and hope that our e-book sells as well as possible."
The e-book, named "You Are Connected", will contain action pics of all the Formula One cars, hand-written messages from all the team principals and the content should be updated regularly to offer more to it's users.
