The 2013 Super Bowl XLVII is today between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers to be played at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Ravens after finishing the 2012 regular season with a 10-6 record, are making their second Super Bowl appearance, having previously won Super Bowl XXXV.

Meanwhile, the 49ers enter the game with an 11-4-1 regular season record and is seeking their sixth Super Bowl win in team history which would tie them with the Pittsburgh Steelers with the most Super Bowl wins.

This will mark the first Super Bowl in which both of the teams have appeared in, but not yet lost, a previous Super Bowl: the 49ers have won all five of their previous Super Bowls while the Ravens won in their only previous Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XXXV against the New York Giants.

This will also be the first Super Bowl game in history that will feature two opposing head coaching brothers, San Francisco's Jim Harbaugh and Baltimore's John Harbaugh, whose clubs previously met in a 2011 Thanksgiving Classic, in which John's Ravens won, 16-6.

Super Bowl XLVII will broadcast in 21 countries and the game will be carried on television in the United States by CBS. Dial Global radio network will broadcast the game nationwide on radio. Sirius XM Radio and NFL Audio Pass will carry the local, Dial Global, and select international audio feeds. You can also follow the Super Bowl happenings on your smartphones and tablets using free Super Bowl apps.

Additionally, veteran singer Alicia Keys will sing the national anthem, while Jennifer Hudson and a chorus of several students from Sandy Hook Elementary School, will perform "America the Beautiful".

Furthermore, singer diva Beyonce was chosen as the headline performer for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, with a reunited Destiny's Child and Jay Z (husband of Beyonce) as potential collaborators.

Adbowl will also have a special theme this year for the Super Bowl called "Catbowl 2013," which will pit the best commercials by votes with cat videos to see which one is more popular.

The Super Bowl XLVII will kickoff today at 5:30 p.m. CST and will be carried out live on CBS TV.
