Dan HendersonThis Saturday on November the 19th 2011 we will see Mauricio "Shogun" Rua take on Dan Henderson in a light-heavyweight battle fans will not want to miss! This fight will be the main event at UFC 139, which will take place at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Both of these men are experienced MMA fighters and legends of the sport, Henderson the former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion and Shogun was not long ago UFC light-heavyweight champion. This fight is very important for the division and is highly unlikely to disappoint fans and viewers.

Mauricio Rua enters this fight with an impressive MMA record of 20-5. A true veteran of the sport having competed in multiple organizations but most notably Pride and the UFC. Rua has faced and defeated the likes of Alistair Overeem, Chuck Liddell, Lyoto Machida and most recently Forrest Griffin at UFC 134 held in August of this year. The fight against Griffin was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil which is Rua's home country. ShoguMauricio Shogun Ruan scored the victory via knockout in the first round and looked in great shape. Mauricio lost the UFC light-heavyweight title back in March of this year against Jon Jones at UFC 128, he will now begin his hunt for another title shot and a victory over Dan Henderson would be huge for Shogun.

MMA legend and former Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson has an MMA record of 28-8. Like Shogun he is a very experienced and well rounded fighter. We last saw Henderson in action against Fedor Emelianenko at the "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson" event held in July of this year. Dan won this fight via knockout in the first round shocking fans with the quick finish. In the past Dan has competed in Pride, UFC and many other MMA events/organizations. This return to the UFC comes at a time when many Strikeforce fighters seem to be considering a move over to the organization. Strikeforce was not long ago bought out by Zuffa who are owners of the UFC. Henderson was one of the first guys to make the switch and this first fight back is a big one.
