WBO Announces Pacquiao Won Boxing Fight Against Bradley

The boxing fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas earlier this month ended up with Bradley winning it in a very controversial decision. A huge number of people worldwide that includes sports analysts, celebrities and boxing fans who watched the fight live and those watching it on HBO pay-per-view echoed their sentiments and were obviously dissapointed with the judges decision and they all appeared to agree that Pacquiao should have won that bout instead of Bradley. Guess what?
There's news that the World Boxing Organization (WBO) just announced that Pacquiao won that fight and not Bradley.
Before that announcement WBO met with 5 international judges to evaluate video of the match and they unanimously scored the fight in favor of Pacquaio. The names of the 5 WBO judges, who did an individual re-scoring, were witheld.
Meanwhile, Bob Arum, the promoter of that fight and the CEO of Top Rank had said "It doesn't surprise me because most people scored it for Pacquiao. One thing is sure, though. Unless they find any criminal doing, they are not going to change the verdict."
Additionally, Pacquiao's coach Freddy Roach, Floyd Mayweather Sr., boxer Juan Manuel Marquez, as well as Oscar dela Hoya, said Pacquiao won that fight.
For his part, Pacquiao said instead of Bradley giving the belt back to him, the WBO could declare the title vacant, and order a rematch to be held on Novemeber 10, 2012. Pacquiao said that's the way he prefers to take his title back.
Pacquiao also welcomed calls for an investigation of the circumstances surrounding the judging of the fight. He said an investigation should help boxing save its image and regain the trust of its fans following the unpopular decision.
The 5 judges scored the fight for Pacquiao 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112, and 115-113, contrary to what the 2 judges saw at the MGM.
However, the results of the WBO re-scoring cannot reverse the original decision. The farthest the WBO can do is to call for an immediate rematch between Pacquiao and Bradley.
