Baltimore Orioles Went from Crappy to Scrappy

The Baltimore Orioles haven’t had a winning season in a very long time. The Orioles had one of the worst records in baseball last year. Most young fans in Baltimore don’t even know what it is like to have a winning baseball season. The Orioles have been crappy for a very long time but things are starting to change at Oriole Park at Camden yards.
At the time I am writing this article, the Baltimore Orioles are on a 4 game winning streak and the team is sitting in first place in the American League East. The Orioles currently have one of the best records in baseball with 26 wins and 14 losses at the time I’m writing this. Sure, it is still early in the baseball season and the team could collapse like it did last year. I don’t think this team will collapse however. This Orioles team has proven itself to be scrappy and has been winning several games in extra innings this year.
There are several Orioles players that are making a major impact this year. One of these players is starting pitcher Weis-Yin Chen. Chen currently has a 2.45 ERA and is undefeated at 4 and 0. The Orioles bullpen has dramatically improved so far and ace reliever Jim Johnson already has 14 saves. Outfielder Adam Jones is leading the team with 13 home runs and been Mr. Clutch for the Orioles in late innings.
The bottom line is that this isn’t the same old Orioles that you are used to seeing lose. This team has the heart and desire to win. This team is scrappy and continues to amaze the baseball world.
