Are You Ready for Some (Fantasy) Football? - Page 2
The NFL's decision to promote fantasy football was a brilliant one for a lot reasons. Start with the number of hits it generates to both the NFL.com website and those of its media partners. Also consider the way it keeps NFL fans engaged throughout the season; if you're a Bills fan for example you've still got plenty to look forward too once they're eliminated from the playoffs at the end of September.
And just realize the value that an engaged fan brings to the NFL, someone who's going to be much more receptive to its ancillary products and most importantly those that its sponsors are looking to pitch.
For me, I'm now at the point where I can't watch a game without my laptop nearby both to keep up on the real time progress of my team and keep a close eye on what other players are doing in other games. It has changed the way I watch football and in a good way.
Can't wait for the season to start.
