It has been confirmed that Darrelle Revis and the NY Jets have reached a contract agreement. The four-year contract is worth $46 million, according to the New York Daily News Report.

It has also been reported that Coach Rex Ryan flew to South Florida, where Revis has been staying with his family to discuss the contract. This was not confirmed by the Jets organization however; they stated that they would continue to honor the confidentiality agreement.

Revis and the Jets had been at an impasse over the contract dispute. Revis felt the organization had reneged on a promise to make him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL.

Revis, who has made $15 million in his first three seasons, was due to make $21 million over the next three, including $1 million this season. He had been seeking approximately $16 million per season.

The Jets begin the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens September 13.
