Jerry SanduskyFirst, Penn State has an 8-2 record and could actually finish with just two losses. Penn State has recently informed the media that they wouldn't turn down a Bowl Game, if offered a Bowl Game to play this season. However, will anyone pick Penn State for a Bowl Game?

My first answer would be to ask Sherwin-Williams. Sherwin-Williams quickly removed it's name from the backdrop that once was behind the coaches at Penn State's press conferences.

My second answer would be to ask Cars.com. Cars.com pulled its commercials from the Penn State game against Nebraska last week.

In addition, the University is allegedly planning to remove the Joe Paterno bronze statue of Joe Paterno from the stadium. Even Joe Paterno is a practically a leper there.

In addition the Wall Street Journal has reported that sponsors are fleeing from the rat-infested ship that Paterno built for future ESPN games involving Penn State.

Thus, a 2 loss Penn State team may not even be given an invitation and here is the technical reason. In 2010, a rule change allows bowl selection committees to tender a bid to any team with a 6-6 record before teams with more wins than six wins. And currently, there will probably be plenty of teams with a 6-6 record or greater. Thus, every bowl selection committee can choose to not invite Penn State.

And if you disagree, tell me which sponsor and which bowl will choose Penn State. Here are their names with their sponsors: Tostitos Fiesta Bowl; Discover Orange Bowl; Vizio Rose Bowl; Allstate Sugar Bowl; Sun Bowl – Hyundai; Cotton Bowl – AT&T; Gator Bowl – TaxSlayer.com; Capital One Bowl; Liberty Bowl – Autozone; Chick-fil-A Bowl; Independence Bowl – AdvoCare; Holiday Bowl – Bridgepoint Education; Outback Bowl – Outback; Insight Bowl; Champs Sports Bowl; Alamo Bowl – Valero; Little Caesars Pizza Bowl; Famous Idaho Potato Bowl – Idaho Potato Commission; Music City Bowl – Franklin American Mortgage Company; GoDaddy.com Bowl; Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas – Meineke; New Orleans Bowl – R+L Carriers; Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl – Kraft; Hawai'i Bowl – Sheraton; Belk Bowl; Armed Forces Bowl – Bell Helicopter; Ponsetta Bowl – San Diego County Credit Union; BBVA Compass Bowl – BBVA Compass; New Mexico Bowl – Gildan; Military Bowl – Northrop Grumman; Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl; Pinstripe Bowl – New Era; and TicketCity Bowl.
