We've been patiently eagerly awaiting the release of 64 bit versions of Revit. This represents the removal of the barricade preventing access to additional RAM. Large projects will benefit from this primarily and obviously only those using a 64 bit operating system like Vista or XP as well as hardware that permits more RAM.It is only available for subscription customers at this time.

Hey, I can’t believe we are out of address space again. I lived that way too long ago going from 8 bit (remember when 128KB was an unbelievable amount of money) to 16 bit (remember when 8MB was just ridiculous) to 32 bit (remember when 1GB was a huge amount). So now those simple decisions.

When I came home the other day I heard a strange noise coming from the little room in my house I’d like to call my personal ’server room’. It’s filled with electronics (I’m in the process of getting my master’s degree in electrical engineering), measuring equipment, unfinished projects and my WHS box.

I recently “upgrade” my Dell XPS 1530 to Windows Vista x64 and the drivers where a pain to find. Dell never offered a Vista x64 version of this laptop so if you go to their site, you have a hard time finding the drivers you need. I did however find a great source for the drivers.
