    SAN VENANZO ON THE MOVE!

    http://www.expatsinitaly.com/ blog/ barb/ 2008/ 07/ san-venanzo-on-move.html

The other day while getting my hair cut I happened to mention that my favorite band of our three night festa had been the one from the last night, LA MACCHINA DEL KAPO . Everyone in the shop chimed in approvingly....it seemed to be a given that LA MACCHINA DEL KAPO was far and away the best band, the most energetic and the most fun.

    http://www.expatsinitaly.com/ blog/ barb/ 2008/ 07/ la-macchina-del-kapo-in-san-…

As usual, they saved the best for last. After two nights of music that was just so-so, music that never really hit you in the gut or moved your soul, from the first note it was apparent that LA MACCHINA DEL KAPO was going to rock the town! And rock we did, for three continuous hours!

Perpetual motion machine? No! the ‘Rolling Ball Clock ‘ Found this very interesting clock in a section of the British Museum - London. To all the people are writing it’s not a perpetual motion machine, I KNOW, IT’S NOT. ‘Rolling Ball Clock’ only wouldn’t have attracted over 2800 to watch the video! The video has been done simply because THIS CLOCK IS COOL.

An Enchanting Village in Abruzzo Italy

    http://spiano.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 22/ hello-world/

Spiano is a frazione (suburb or small connected village) of the commune of Teramo in the Abruzzo Region of Italy. Nearby are the villages of Rapino, Miano, Frondarola, and Valle San Giovanni (home of Casale). In 2004 the mayor of Teramo, Gianni Chiodi, held a meeting of the people from this town.

GPS AND PERCEPTION OF THE WORLD. Interview with G. Leshed

    http://lucachittaro.nova100.ilsole24ore.com/ 2008/ 04/ gps-and-percept.html

Is the widespread use of GPS changing how we perceive the world? A research group at Cornell University has studied GPS users to answer this question (and more). They presented today their results at CHI 2008, and I’ve discussed about it with one of the authors (Gilly Leshed): A growing number of people is relying on GPS to move around.
