By Marshall Kirkpatrick, Blogger, ReadWriteWeb Yesterday’s flare-up about the Terms of Service for Google’s new browser Chrome, followed by the company’s rapid backtracking on the demands it was making of users, left many people wondering about Google ToS in general.

The latest Google debacle du jour didn’t last long. But it was existential. It turns out there are people (like us?) out there who actually read the Terms of Service on nifty little things like new browser releases like Google’s Chrome. I only wonder with what they’ve fortified themselves before sitting down to the task.

It’s an exciting day - the release of the Sony Reader sees the first concerted, anticipated, co-ordinated foray into selling electronic books in the UK. Publishers have been rushing to negotiate deals with agents (and retailers) and prepare launch lists of titles. Digitisation has been advancing at pace.
