The first week of school and I have to drag my daughter out of school all ready for a doctor’s appointment. I try my best to schedule any type of appointments for my kids during non-school hours, but some times you have to take what you can get.

This weekend was a very special weekend. It was the 90th birthday of my Grandmother. Her official birthday was Saturday, but the festivities began on Thursday as friends and relatives rolled in from all over the county. I think folks came from 12 different states to attend the birthday parties.

Unless you're a Filipino or have close ties to Filipinos, you probably don't have a clue what I'm talking about when I mention anything about a balikbayan box. Putting the new SINGER interface through its paces, I find that it can do something interesting that GRIN cannot. Or at least I can’t see a way of doing it, let me know if you can.
